Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and develop websites, web publications, web portals, micro sites, landing pages and CSS layouts with a focus on responsive design, accessibility and overall UX quality.

Manage the AUMnet SharePoint site changes and the online AUM assessment system.

Provide feedback and recommend design changes and/or technology upgrades to improve the aum.edu website aesthetics, organization, functionality, and to ensure the websites and other web publications are appropriate and adhere to ADA as well as other requirements.

Implements multimedia content, including creating new graphics, modifying existing images, and embedding video, all while ensuring this content is delivered to the viewer at sufficiently high speed and quality.

Creates companion materials as needed such as static and animated/interactive banners and ads, and HTML-based emails.

Writes HTML and CSS; incorporates JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and other client-side languages where appropriate; and uploads pages to the servers.

Works with developers to ensure that server-side code is properly maintained.

Ensures that websites are accessible from a variety of different environments, and layouts are consistent across different browsers and media types.

Maintains template libraries and asset archives.

Implements and maintains traffic/analytics code and vendor tracking pixels.

Posts news items to various websites and portals.

Partner with internal customer/stakeholders to identify appropriate aesthetics and content for websites.

Conduct research and develop web based surveys and other similar projects as requested.

Properly documents website updates and significant activity.

Ensures that links are up-to-date; troubleshoots and repairs bugs and problems. Audies websites for functionality, consistency, and accuracy.

Develop and recommend strategies to help AUM use the web to carry out its educational mission.

Work with AUM Units to develop collaborative work environments using Microsoft SharePoint software.

Train/instruct content managers and others to use content management software.

Develop, recommend, and implement web policies and procedures.

Proofreads and/or spot-checks copy where appropriate.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of developing web portals, professional websites, landing pages, micro sites and web graphics
Strong knowledge of cutting-edge web design, implementation, and maintenance
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
Strong knowledge of or experience using Content Management Systems including Drupal and Wordpress
Strong knowledge of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS, familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX, and at least introductory knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases and Cold Fusion
Strong knowledge of web analytics tools, particularly the Google Analytics Solutions suite (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager) is highly recommended
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint software
Knowledge of universally accepted publication rules and regulations
Skill in using Microsoft Visual Studio, C# and ASP.net
Skill in using Microsoft SQL Server to develop and maintain tables, views and stored procedures
Exceptional oral communication skills
Exceptional written communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Ability to diagnose and correct web-related problems
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and respond to multiple competing demands
Ability to train and instruct others to use content management software
