Special Instructions to Applicant:
Auburn University at Montgomery announces a tenure-track appointment in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) at an assistant professor rank beginning spring 2020/fall 2020. This is a full-time, nine month position with potential for summer teaching. Candidates must possess a Ph.D./Ed.D. in physical education teacher education or a closely related field and have P-12 teaching experience. Individuals, who are in ABD status, will be considered at the Instructor level and should have a set completion date for their Ph.D./Ed.D. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate physical education courses, providing service to the department/college/university, grant writing and securing external funding, and the ability to manage and conduct research.

Preferred Qualifications:
• University teaching and/or public school experience
• Ability to teach a wide array of departmental classes
• Experience with online teaching
• Experience with aligning standards to course evidences. Familiarity with program evaluation and the CAEP standards
• Experience with EdTPA
• Ability to teach Motor Development and Adaptive Physical Education
