Part-Time Instructors - Psychology


Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 62 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

The Department of Psychology is accepting applications for Part-Time Instructors in an effort to maintain a pool of applicants for future openings. The earliest start date is Fall 2019 semester.

The Psychology Department's mission is to instill the habits of thought of the psychological scientist as well as the empathy and understanding of the clinician. We foster the perspective that students' academic learning serves their development as individuals, professionals, and global citizens. In addition to our core curriculum of General Psychology, Psychological Statistics, and Research Methods, the program has a broad and enhanced curriculum covering four main areas: Brain Sciences, Developmental, Social, and Clinical Psychology. Typical class sizes are 15 to 30 students.

Primary Job Duties: Teach undergraduate Psychology courses related to applicant's area of expertise, be able to utilize effective teaching strategies which enhance the success of a diverse student body.

Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in any area of Psychology

Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in any area of Psychology
