POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time lecturer position starting August 2019. This is a one-year (nine-month), renewable appointment. Your responsibilities will include teaching courses appropriate to the needs of the department and maintaining office hours. In addition, you may have other duties as designated by the department chair. The teaching load is 8 courses (24 hrs) per year (Fall and Spring). Summer teaching is possible. Responsibility includes day, evening and/or off campus teaching.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates must have earned at least a Master's degree in Mathematics, or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics before employment starts. Evidence of excellence in teaching and interpersonal communication skills is also required. Experience in teaching mathematics for elementary education, developmental mathematics or credit core courses is a plus. Services at both the departmental and university levels are also expected.
