Assistant Professor of Exercise Science

Assistant Professor of Exercise Science
Department of Physical Education & Exercise Science

Lander University, a public state-supported institution in South Carolina, seeks to fill two full-time, nine-month (academic year, summer employment possible), tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level in Exercise Science, to begin August 15, 2019.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate Exercise Science-related courses (anatomy and physiology, kinesiology & exercise biomechanics, nutrition & sport, principles of strength and conditioning, sports psychology, lifetime activity classes) based on academic skills and departmental need, advise students, engage in scholarship and service to the department, university and the community. 

Required: Earned doctorate at time of appointment in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science or related area (ABD’s will be considered at the lecturer level until completion of the degree.)

Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification.
