Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing ? Psych/Mental Health & Community Healt


The School of Nursing at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing Psych/Mental Health & Community Health. This is a 10-month, full-time, non-tenure track position.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students Psych/Mental Health and Community Health clinical courses which may include participation in simulation and laboratory-based learning. Employ a variety of innovative teaching techniques in the clinical setting to promote critical thinking, clinical competency, and achieve course outcomes. Design clinical learning experiences that reflect evidence-based approaches to instruction. Engage in scholarship and professional development, serve on departmental committees, advise students, and participate in University activities. Utilize the techniques of effective teaching and classroom management strategies that enhance the success of diverse learners.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in nursing. Must be eligible to practice in Maryland. Two years demonstrated competence of full-time clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to those with clinical and classroom teaching experience at the baccalaureate and graduate levels and those with certification relevant to the clinical area to be taught. Background in evidence-based practice, psych/mental health and/or community health desired.
