Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology

Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology, Lander University

Lander University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology to begin in August 2019. A Ph.D. in Sociology is strongly preferred, but ABDs will be considered. College-level teaching experience preferred.  We seek a candidate with ability to teach the major’s core requirements in face-to-face and online environments. The area of specialization is open.  This position may convert into a tenure-track line.

We are looking for a dynamic teacher-scholar who will mentor and advise students as well as emphasize experiential learning.  Beyond the Sociology major, courses in the discipline contribute to the major in Criminology as well as minors in such areas as human services, child and family studies, and non-profit management.
