Fitness and Wellness Lecturer (2 positions)


The School of Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Fitness and Wellness Lecturer. This is a 10-month, full-time, non-tenure track position.

Primary Job Duties: Teach 15 hours per academic semester (fall and spring). Teach the lecture and/or activity components of FTWL 106: Lifelong Fitness and Wellness or other courses within the School of Health Sciences. Advise undergraduate students within the School of Health Sciences as needed. Assist in on-going program evaluation, administration, and improvement. Support adjunct instructors and graduate assistants as needed. Assist Fitness & Wellness Course Coordinator with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned Master's Degree in Exercise Science, Health, or a related field. Candidate must be computer and heart rate monitor proficient and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications: College teaching experience. Certification in strength and conditioning, group fitness, or equivalent. CPR/AED certification.
