The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology (http://oncology.ucsd.edu/) and Moores UCSD Cancer Center seek to recruit a dual fellowship trained surgical oncologist/endocrine surgeon with a focus on clinical care and research in the areas of endocrine surgery and general surgical oncology.

The faculty member(s) with a commitment to research and education will be expected to devote 90% of their time to clinical care.

The ideal candidate(s) must have demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients with endocrine tumors and diseases in the realm of general surgical oncology (exclusive of breast surgery), as well as an excellent track record of publication.

Candidates must also be:

1) Must have an MD and be board certified or eligible in General Surgery
2) Successfully completed an SSO approved fellowship in surgical oncology
3) Successful completion of a fellowship or advanced training in Endocrine Surgery
4) Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license

Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Series will be determined by the successful candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
