The School of Art in the Herberger Institute of Art and Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks to hire a Ceramics Instructor for a full-time one year appointment beginning August 2019.
The Ceramics program in the School of Art, Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts encourages students to develop a strong personal direction with their work. Students earning their degree in Ceramics learn a range of techniques and concepts that enable them to develop their own style and specialty. Students are presented with a solid foundation of technical and conceptual skills, preparing them for a career in the ceramic arts. This highly ranked program boasts internationally renowned faculty and the Ceramics Research Center.
The School of Art seeks a Ceramics Instructor to teach in a stimulating and challenging environment for undergraduate and graduate students’ artistic and intellectual growth. The ideal candidate will have a sustained art practice engaged with contemporary ceramics. Responsibilities include teaching a range of courses at the undergraduate level with participation in graduate level critiques.
