Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting

School: Department of Economics, Accounting, and Finance, School of Management

Job Summary: This tenure track position will involve teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses (including online courses) and maintaining a high level of professional activity through research and service. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research in accounting. Candidates with an interest in financial accounting and the application of data analytics in accounting are preferred, although candidates in all areas will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have an earned doctorate in accounting or related field, or an anticipated completion date during the fall of 2019.

Essential Functions: Candidates should be superior undergraduate and graduate teachers and have a commitment to research. The candidate is expected to advise undergraduate majors, produce scholarship, and perform services for the college, school and department.

Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience and certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, etc.) are also desirable.

About the School: The School of Management enrolls approximately 1,400 undergraduate students in its B.S. in Accounting, Dual Degree in Accounting, B.S. in Business Administration, and B.A. in Economics programs, and 400 master level students in its MBA, MPA, and Master of Science in Professional Accountancy programs.
