Position Title: Adjunct Instructor, Computing Technology

School: Department of Computing Technology in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics

Job Summary: The Department of Computing Technology in the School of Computer Science at Marist College invites applications for part-time faculty in Computer Science and Information Technology & Systems for Spring 2019 and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience. Ideal candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: software development and object-oriented programming, data communications and networking, database management systems, and systems analysis and design. Evidence of teaching experience is important, and strong written and oral communication skills are required. Industry or consulting experience and/or experience teaching online is a plus. As our programs host a diverse population, the proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment is highly regarded.

Essential Functions: Opportunities are available to teach in one or more areas across several disciplines over time. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate and graduate courses in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is also desirable. Bringing industry expertise into the classroom via your own personal experience or by inviting guest speakers from your network is also routinely required.
