Director of Equity, Inclusion & Compliance/Title IX Coordinator

Position Title: Director of Institutional Equity, Inclusion and Compliance/Title IX Coordinator

Department: Office of Human Resources

Job Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director will serve as the institutional administrator for equity, inclusion, and diversity on campus as well as Title IX compliance. Working collaboratively with the Director of Academic Diversity and Inclusion, the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement, and other key senior leaders, the Director has overall institutional responsibility to provide leadership in designing and executing policies and programs that foster an inclusive environment. As the College's designated Title IX Coordinator, the Director will also ensure the College's compliance efforts relating specifically to sex/gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and/or other sexual misconduct, stalking, dating, and domestic violence.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a Master's degree with five+ years of experience in a similar role. Must have experience in a higher education setting with demonstrated experience in Human Resources, Title VII, Title IX, ADA, EEO/AA, and NYS Education Law. Self-starter with a proven track record of designing and initiating successful institutional-wide programs and projects advancing affirmative action, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the development, planning, and organization of a collaborative strategy for equity and inclusion programs across all areas of campus
  • Work with the VP of HR to create a clear strategy to enhance employee recruitment efforts to broaden outreach to diverse candidates and foster career opportunities
  • Responsible for the oversight, creation and delivery of education and training programs on diversity and inclusion involving search committees and outreach efforts, including bias, sensitivity, and cultural competence.
  • Develop a set of institutional measures to monitor progress toward strategic goals related to equity and inclusion
  • Lead efforts to streamline Title VII, Title IX, and ADA 504 policies with the goal of enhancing policies, programs, and services
  • Serve as the College's Title IX Coordinator ensuring overall compliance with federal and state regulations
