Director, Marist Executive Center

Position Title: Director, Marist Executive Center

Department: Executive Affairs

Job Summary: Reporting to the Office of the Executive Vice President, and in coordination with the Dean of the School of Professional Programs, and other appropriate officers, the Executive Center Director will provide leadership and administrative oversight for Marist's New York City Executive Center. The Director will manage, lead, and coordinate all aspects of the site and must be able to work independently to resolve management, programmatic, fiscal, and administrative matters to deliver on initiatives within the College's strategic plan.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant management experience in a similar environment is required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement the vision for the Marist Executive Center, in collaboration with executives, deans, department heads, alumni and other key stakeholders
  • Supervise and manage overall operations of the Executive Center
  • Oversee all scheduling, coordination, and implementation of daily activities
  • Direct site administration including management of professional and administrative staff, budgeting, space and event planning, security, and hospitality
  • Assume primary responsibility for building safety, including: access, site inspections, security protocols, and OSHA compliance
  • Manage all services, supplies, and equipment within the space
  • Establish strong working relationships with building management particularly in the areas of: building access, security procedures, deliveries, and municipal services, among others
  • Develop and maintain relationships with area businesses and vendors (i.e. hotels and restaurants) in support of College events

About the Marist Executive Center: In early 2019, Marist College will launch its Executive Center located on the 14th floor of 420 5th Avenue, a 30-story, 600,000 square foot, Class A office building. The Center will provide a strategic location for traditional and hybrid graduate, certificate, and adult degree-completion programs, along with strategic operational use and special events for the College.
