Head Coach, Cheerleading

Position Title: Club Cheerleading Coach

Department: Athletics - Club Sports

Job Summary: The Club Cheerleading Coach will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Club Sports, Intramurals and Summer Camps and will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Marist College Cheer Club Team including practices, travel, events, and budget.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree is required, previous experience as a competitive cheer or coach of a team is preferred. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other coaches, staff and student leadership. Valid state driver's license is necessary.

Required Certifications: CPR/First Aid/ AED; AACCA Spirit Safety Certification

Essential Functions: Specific responsibilities include:

Oversight of all aspects of the Club Cheerleading team including:
  • Attending all practices and travel with team to all competitions, providing race-time advice and leadership to club members
  • Assisting student leadership in making decisions about club operations
  • Supervising team tryouts; and other duties as assigned.
