Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the international programs and increase AUM's visibility in target markets.

Communicate with, track progress of, and follow up with all prospective international students.

Serve as a Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Official for Auburn University at Montgomery and issue immigration documents for incoming international students.

Process student applications; enter data accurately into appropriate student data management systems.

Identify international program and project goals, and develop strategies to meet the goals, coordinating efforts with appropriate units within the university; assist with special projects as requested.

Respond to admissions inquiries via email, phone, or in person.

Collect and evaluates admission documents from new students.

Process student admissions and issue I-20 and DS2019 for students to obtain appropriate visa.

Prepare reports related to international student enrollments, marketing and recruitment efforts.

Support international student admissions.

Follow up with all prospective international students to convert prospects to applicants.

Train recruitment agencies, manage agreements and make sure the agencies are up-to-date on AUM programs, services, and admission requirements.

Conduct Seminars and Tours on AUM campus for recruiters who visit.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of limited budgeting principles and practices
Knowledge of acceptable basic management practices
Knowledge of applicable institutional practices and procedures
Knowledge of University processes, procedures, rules and regulations
Knowledge of basic word processing software and the ability to operate standard PC/PC software applications

Ability to interact with culturally diverse individuals
Ability to speak in public, lead small group meetings, and make presentations to others

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related area, and four (4) years of related work experience. Education can be substituted for experience.

The successful candidate will possess previous experience with international student recruitment and international student admissions. This detailed oriented person will demonstrate the ability to use sound judgment and reasoning when making decisions.

The successful candidate in this position will demonstrate tact and diplomacy while working in an office that is focused to serve the university's multicultural community.
