JOB SUMMARY:

The Student Affairs Coordinator (SAC) works has continuous interaction with various offices within the School of Social Work including, Admission, Field Education, Academic Standards, as well as with offices throughout the University, e.g. Student Academic Services, Student Access, Registrar, Financial Services, Student Counseling.

REPORTS TO: Associate Dean Academic Affairs/Director of MSW Program

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  1. The SAC, in collaboration with the Director for Student Engagement and Academic Success, develops educational contracts for students placed on academic probation, monitors, and supports their efforts to meet academic standards.
  2. In collaboration with the Faculty Field Liaison and the Assistant Director of Field Education, the SAC assists in developing educational contracts for students demonstrating performance difficulty in field placement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  2. Experience working with social work students in a field education or classroom setting.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. MSW from a CSWE accredited School of Social Work plus a minimum of 5-years post-MSW experience and be licensed for the jurisdiction in which they reside.

HOURS/RATE OF PAY:

  1. 20 hours a week, flexible schedule.
  2. $30/hour.
