Warschauer Professorship in Personal Financial Planning

Description
The Department of Finance in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University (http://www.sdsu.edu ) invites applications from qualified candidates for the Warschauer Professorship in Personal Financial Planning. The position will begin in August 2019 and is contingent on state funding. Qualified applicants will have a Certified Financial Planner Designation ( CFP ® ) and a Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline with a record of high-quality scholarship and the capacity to provide leadership for research, curricula and programs in Personal Financial Planning. They are also expected to engage with organizations of professional personal financial planners and maintain SDSU's CFP Board-Registered program status. Recruitment will be at the Associate Professor or Professor rank.

Qualified applicants must have a record of teaching excellence and quality scholarship, as evidenced by a portfolio of research activities, including publications in appropriate high-ranking finance journals.

The SDSU Fowler College of Business is among the nation's oldest and largest AACSB accredited business schools. Its accomplished faculty and highly ranked academic programs provide an exceptional foundation for an institution with significant regional, national and international impact. The Fowler College of Business enrolls approximately 5,400 undergraduate and over 500 graduate students. The Finance Department includes 12 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members, and it offers B.S. degrees in Finance, Financial Services, and Real Estate.
