Assistant\/Associate Professor: Teacher Education

Description
The Imperial Valley Campus of San Diego State University is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in Teacher Education at the assistant/associate professor level. The position is a joint appointment to the Division of Education, Imperial Valley campus (ivcampus.sdsu.edu ) and the School of Teacher Education, College of Education on the San Diego campus (www.sdsu.edu ). The primary appointment is to the Imperial Valley campus in Calexico, California. The Imperial Valley campus is located seven blocks from the United States-Mexico border at Mexicali, Baja California, and 120 miles east of San Diego, California.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Teacher Education or a related field by August 2019. We are seeking an individual to teach courses in teacher credential and master's degree programs and to establish and maintain a program of scholarly productivity. Preference will be given to candidates who have (1) successful K-12 teaching experience in U.S. schools (2) experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse learners (3) knowledge of social and cultural foundations of education. Fluency in Spanish is desired.
