This person will provide front office receptionist and administrative support for the Math department at Columbus State University. The position involves assisting the Administrative Secretary of the Math dept., Chair of the Math department, as well all Math dept. faculty in a variety of clerical and administrative assignments
Responsibilities
Major duties include:
Provide administrative support for the Administrative Secretary, Chair of the Math dept., and all Math dept. faculty. Manage incoming calls, voicemails; sort through incoming mail and sign for packages; run copies, communicate general information to students and guest. Assist with Math overrides; issue rental calculator to students, maintain workroom, storage room and Math lab in a neat and organized manner; distribute materials for special events, including mailings, event setup. Assist with faculty textbook order, Math tournament, and Math newsletter. Assist faculty w/ (40) laptop cart for student use in the Math lab during Math classes. Assist with lunch meeting setups and catering deliveries.
Minor duties include:
Compose and prepare correspondence. Enter data in Excel spreadsheets and compose spreadsheets. Maintain bulletin boards in area updating with current information/flyers.
Required Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communications skills, on the telephone and via email; demonstrate ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel; familiar with Google Mail, Docs, and Drive; experience with Windows computers; ability to prioritize tasks; exceptional time management skills; attention to detail and the ability to work independently and confidentially.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Word and Excel.
Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position can work up to 19 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment

Work Schedule
Preferably 1130 am- 230 pm, Monday-Friday or 12pm - 3pm, Monday- Friday (willing to work these hours 3 days a week (MWF); if hours do not work with class schedule the full week). Need coverage during lunch period.
