Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Dean of Visual and Performing Arts, provides technical guidance to students and instructors for the Media Arts Department. Provides technical assistance and supervision in operations and activities of the MEA Department, including video over internet protocol (VIP), animation, film and sound production, and training and support of facilities and related equipment; maintains and repairs portable and studio equipment; trains students, instructors and other employees in the proper operation of equipment, assists students with projects and assignments; provides technical support for faculty and staff, for instructional activities (demonstrations, classroom productions), and department-wide technical support for all MEA promotional, marketing and college communication activities. Coordinates with Computer Support Services to integrate and maintain computer technologies used in the MEA classroom and lab facilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements: 

 

Education and Experience:

Graduation from high school supplemented by additional training  and coursework in video  engineering and two years full-time professional experience working in video engineering.  

 

Additional years of relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of the supplemental education required.  Additional relevant education may be considered in lieu of the experience required.
