Assistant Professor of Management


The Department of Management and Marketing at Salisbury University's Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Management to begin in the Fall of 2019.

Area of Specialization: Strategic Management

Secondary Areas of Specialization: Entrepreneurship or International Management

Primary Job Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic management with the possibility of teaching another course in the area of specialization such as entrepreneurship, international management, or business ethics. The normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester. In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to maintain an active research agenda that meets AACSB Scholarly Academic/Academically Qualified (SA/AQ) standards. The Perdue School of Business utilizes the ABDC journal list and expects faculty members to publish research in peer-reviewed highly-recognized journals.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree or ABD status in Strategic Management or a related discipline. If ABD, candidate is expected to complete doctoral degree within one year of hire date. Experience in teaching management courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited university. Prior experience teaching online or hybrid courses as well as demonstrated ability to teach experiential courses. Industry experience that is relevant to strategic management or candidate's research area.

Salary is competitive for AACSB accredited public universities and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. and is expected to begin August 2019.
