Job Purpose
Teach courses for the Department of Computer Science.
Essential Functions
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, engage in service and outreach activities related to Information Assurance and Security, engage in professional and public service, and advise students on academic curricula, professionalism, and career opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned M.S. from an accredited institution in computer science or a closely related field by the start date of employment; ability for teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant teaching or industrial experience in computing or cybersecurity; experience or affiliation with a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education; and experience with security offense/defense competitions
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. This is a one year temporary non-tenure-track appointment to begin January 2019 and renewable based on satisfactory annual reviews, the needs of the department, and future funding.
