Job Purpose
Teach undergraduate classes, develop courses, advise and recruit students for the agribusiness degree program.

Essential Functions
Work as a faculty member in the TTU School of Agriculture in the agribusiness management concentration for the Lawrenceburg campus but will be located on the Cookeville campus. Teach undergraduate classes in agribusiness management, ag-economics, ag-marketing, and ag-policy. Provide leadership and strategic planning to expand course offerings outreach. Evaluate and document expected results and impacts of educational programs on targeted audiences. Mentor students for competitive career placement within the industry. Assure compliance with civil rights and affirmative action policies. Supervise internship courses and their students. Recruit prospective students. Collaborate with other faculty on the TTU main campus. Provide assistance with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution in Agricultural Business or Agricultural Economics. Two years of related professional experience in agricultural business. Three years of teaching experience at the college level. Demonstrated skills in working with people and the ability to develop partnerships and collaborations.

Preferred Qualifications
M.S or Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or closely related discipline. Experience advising undergraduate students. Experience with undergraduate recruiting. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies and techniques to different levels of students' abilities and learning styles. Demonstrated ability to use innovative and creative teaching techniques and equipment, including the use of multimedia hardware and software. Demonstrated ability and commitment to teach online courses. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies and techniques to students of different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and a commitment to include diverse voices in program prioritization and planning. Demonstrated leadership ability and a desire to stay current in the field of agricultural economics.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2018. Three year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review.
