DIVERSE FACULTY FELLOW

 

Here is an exciting opportunity to gain both valuable teaching experience and exposure to the community college as a viable career path. Harper College invites interested and motivated individuals to apply for the Diverse Faculty Fellow program. Applicants must have earned a Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited university no later than June 30, 2019 and the degree must be in a discipline included in an academic department at Harper College. Applicants with a Master of Library Science degree or equivalent, from an ALA accredited institution are also eligible. 

 

Harper College Academic Areas

 

The Faculty Fellow program is an important part of the college’s focus on diversity and inclusion, which seeks to better reflect the increasing diversity of its student body and surrounding community.  The fellowship program will assist the College and community college academia in general by helping to identify and mentor potential future faculty members.

 

Special consideration will be given to applicants who are members of groups that have been historically underrepresented in faculty positions in higher education.

 

Requirements include:

  • A Master's degree or Doctorate earned no later than June 30, 2019 AND in a discipline or related area that corresponds with educational departments at Harper College or a library Master’s degree.  http://goforward.harpercollege.edu/academics/areas/
