Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X,Adjunct, In-Residence) - General/Acute Care Surgeon

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Surgery (http://surgery.ucsd.edu), Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Burns and Acute Care Surgery is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeking to recruit a General/Acute Care Surgeon.
This is a full-time faculty employment in our practice associated with El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC). ECRMC is affiliated with UCSD Health through UCSD Health Care Network.
Position is based full-time in El Centro, CA. Based on final candidate's qualifications, experience and interest, it would be possible to have an option of occasional clinical work at UCSD Health Medical Center's Level 1 Trauma Center in San Diego. Large surgical case volume is expected (200+ annually) at El Centro practice. Competitive salary with adjustment for geography/location.
Qualified candidates must have have an MD and be Board Certification in General Surgery. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a California medical license. Candidates must have a commitment to research and education and show documented excellence in clinical activities, research , and teaching.
Candidates that are Surgical Critical Care board certified or eligible are preferred.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
