Duties and Responsibilities
The Andrew M. Greeley Chair in Catholic Education in the Loyola University Chicago School of Education ( LUC SOE ) offers a contemporary educator and scholar the opportunity to extend Greeley s legacy of advocacy for Catholic schools and research in the field of Catholic education. This is a full-time non-tenure track position, beginning Academic Year 2019-2020. Through research, teaching, advising, publications and presentations, the Greeley Chair is called to establish a national presence in the field of Catholic education on behalf of Loyola University Chicago and the School of Education, communicate a passion for Catholic education in the School of Education and beyond, and contribute to the future of Catholic education. Within the university and the SOE , the Greeley Chair works with the Greeley Center for Catholic Education and with faculty, staff, and students in all focus areas in the School of Education to support the intentional integration of Loyola s and the School of Education s Jesuit and Catholic identity into the professional formation of undergraduate and graduate candidates.

Qualifications
Ideal Experience/Credentials:
Doctorate in related field
Experience in Catholic higher education
Ability to teach relevant courses in SOE
Experience with PK-12 Catholic schools
Demonstrated research interest in and publication record regarding Catholic education
Positive teaching reviews

Desired Qualities:
Passion for Catholic education
Strong collaborator
Stature/disposition to become a leader in Catholic higher education supporting Catholic schools
Innovative/creative thinker
Articulate understanding of and affinity for faith-based education on all levels primary, secondary, and higher education.
