The Office of Human Resources at Columbus State University has an immediate need for a Human Resources Data Specialist. This position will be responsible for HR related data entry and maintaining data integrity to the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing data entry and maintenance of employee data into the HRIS system, to include new hires, status changes, terminations, salary changes, and other employee data; auditing HR data to ensure compliance and data integrity on an ongoing basis; detecting and resolving data issues; ensuring adherence to data quality standards; following and maintaining data entry protocols; creating and preparing periodic and standardized reports as necessary and as requested; and performing special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and a minimum of three years' related experience in human resources, business, payroll, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent technical and customer service skills; knowledge of respective financial/HR systems; knowledge of data maintenance; possess strong data entry skills; solid attention-to-detail; the ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion; the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work; the ability to adapt to new work situations, people, ideas, and procedures; work independently on analyzing and interpreting human resources data and reports; complete tasks timely and accurately and handle multiple projects simultaneously; the ability to work under strict time constraints and work collaboratively in a team environment; possess excellent organizational skills; the ability to interact and communicate effectively; a demonstrated ability to identify data discrepancies and communicate results in a timely manner; and possess strong analytical skills.
Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience.
