Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution; demonstrated success in community college-level teaching with a minimum of 5 years' experience; exemplary record of academic administrative leadership with a minimum of 5 years' experience; ability to plan, direct, and evaluate a complex operation; demonstrated leadership; demonstrated ability to solicit external funding via grants, gifts, and partnerships

General Function:

Motlow State Community College seeks an accomplished and visionary academic and community leader who will report directly to the President. The EVP will provide senior leadership in the development, assessment, budget, and oversight for all academic affairs and student success initiatives of the college, providing high quality programs of study to the college's student population, as well as providing successful student services, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction, and policy formation for the development and implementation of successful academic and student programs and services that are responsive to student, service area, and college needs.

• Oversee the operations of academic affairs and student success, as well as the operations of the campuses located in Fayetteville, McMinnville, Smyrna, Sparta, and Shelbyville.

• Responsible for the oversight of the Strategic Enrollment Plan.

• Work collaboratively with the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Leadership Team in coordinating all academic and student policies, positions, assignments, academic offerings, academic calendars, and in initiating new programs.

• Provide guidance and oversight for matters related to the recruitment, support, supervision, promotion, and tenure of an excellent and diverse faculty.

• Recommend the hiring, promotion and tenure of faculty.

• Meet with faculty, staff, and students to address specific issues as necessary.

• Oversee and monitor scheduling, course offerings, and program offerings.

• Ensure SACSCOC, TBR, MSCC, and THEC policy compliance.

• Serve as a liaison between faculty council and the President.

• Develop and maintain articulation agreements and MOU's with four-year colleges, school systems, and business and industry partners.

• Oversees the college's student discipline program and interpret due process procedures.

• Attends appropriate conferences and stays abreast of high-impact practices to enhance services, drive continuous improvement, increase enrollment, retention, graduation, job placement, and workforce needs.

• Foster teamwork among the academic and student divisions to ensure student success.
