JOB SUMMARY:

The Department of Accounting & Law seeks applications for a full time tenure track position in accounting in the rank of assistant professor, to start in Fall semester 2019. The position requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, producing intellectual contributions, and engaging in institutional service. The Robert B. Willumstad School of Business is accredited by AACSB-International. The successful applicant must be Scholarly Academic and maintain that status.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Faculty members teach 18 credits (6 courses) annually.
  2. Must be able to teach upper level courses in Advanced Accounting, Auditing or Federal Taxation, and graduate courses in Advanced Accounting Theory, Advanced Auditing, or Advanced Taxation.
  3. Teaching assignments can occur at any of the University's sites, including in Manhattan, at off-campus corporate locations, and on weekends.
  4. Faculty responsibilities include producing intellectual contributions to maintain Scholarly Academic status as per the School's AACSB standards, and service work to the department and institution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Possess a terminal degree in accounting or in business with at least 18 graduate credit hours in accounting from an AACSB-accredited program.
  2. CPA license.
  3. Minimum of five years of experience working for a CPA firm.
  4. Evidence of scholarly work and university teaching required.
