Visiting Assistant Professor, Art History

The Department of Art and Art History at Wheaton College in Norton, MA invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Early Modern and Baroque Art History, beginning in the Fall of 2019.

The faculty member in this position will teach two courses per semester, ranging from the 100-level introductory level to upper-level seminars. Ideally, the successful candidate will combine a command of canonical works and makers from these periods with some expertise in emerging Early Modern/Baroque fields such as medical history, gender studies, or material culture. We seek a colleague who shares the College's commitment to social justice, multicultural competence, and informed global citizenship.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a PhD at the time of appointment, and should have prior teaching experience.
