Agreement Maintenance and Compliance Manager

This position will lead end-to-end negotiation and contracting process with collaborators through negotiation of contract terms (MTAs, CRADAs, NDAs, etc.) to support the University's research activities. Other duties include: management and implementation of programs that ensure that the Office of Research and ODURF remain compliant in its obligations to funding agencies of sponsored research, as well as monitoring licensee diligence; ensure that ODU meets all binding commitments that are contained in research contracts, licenses and other agreements; maintain complete records of all disclosed NDAs, MTAs, CRADAS ; and other agreements by ODU to support research and assist with education for university faculty, students, and staff on contract compliance issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Professional degree (Juris Doctor) or graduate degree (master's in contract management, government contracts, compliance law, legal studies or equivalent legal graduate degree). Considerable prior experience reviewing and interpreting various contracts; NDAs, MTAs, CRADAs, Teaming, License Agreements, government contracts and sponsored agreements. Basic/working experience in a technology transfer office at a university. Proficient in Adobe, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video conferencing (e.g. Zoom). Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Superior analytical and organizational skills consistent with keeping up with deadlines. Basic/working knowledge of the Bayh-Dole Act and the ability to review and interpret various contract; NDAs, MTAs, CRADAs, Teaming, and License Agreements, and Sponsored agreements.

Preferred Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of agreement management databases such as Inteum.
