The School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University seeks an outstanding candidate for an appointment made at the rank of Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments, starting January 1, 2019 or August 16, 2019. Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Other responsibilities include holding office hours, mentoring undergraduate design and research projects, and participating in course and program assessment. This is a non-tenure-track position that will be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance.
Required qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and/or a related field by the time of appointment
- Evidence of teaching excellence as appropriate to the candidate’s rank
Desired qualifications:
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: dynamics, structures, aerospace structures, rocket and space propulsion, and spacecraft design
