JOB SUMMARY:

Adelphi University invites applications for a tenure-track position in neurobiology to begin fall 2019. The successful applicant will join an active, engaged, and collegial department spanning all areas of biology as well as an exciting new interdisciplinary neuroscience program with the Derner School of Psychology. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Teaching undergraduate and graduate neurobiology, human anatomy & physiology and additional specialty courses for upper-level undergraduates and master's students in the area of expertise.
  2. Candidates who use computational methods are encouraged to apply.
  3. Commitment to teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds and excellent potential as a teacher.
  4. Plus a record of significant research accomplishment and the potential to develop a fundable independent research program involving undergraduate and master's students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ph.D in Biology or a closely related field is required.
  2. Postdoctoral experience is highly preferred.
