Duties and Responsibilities:
Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport of soccer.

Recruit student athletes.

Assist Athletic Director with fund raising.

Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season; work closely with athletic director in scheduling events.

Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted at all times when athletes are present; adhere to a highly efficient and technically sound program of injury prevention and follow up.

Maintain competency in rules, rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques and general information about all aspects of the sport.

Maintain accurate statistics, records and results of the season; maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.

Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times; establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual athletes.

Establish performance criteria for eligibility in collegiate competition in the sport and be consistent in establishing criteria for eligibility in competition.

Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms; account for all equipment or delegate the responsibility.

Develop a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the University media to inform the public about the sport.

As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable duties.

Ability to apply acceptable teaching/coaching techniques
Ability to counsel and advise pre-college and college student athletes
Ability to apply acceptable supervisory practices
Ability to plan and direct the work of subordinates
Ability to research and analyze data and reports
Ability to make oral and written presentations

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in coaching soccer. Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining CPR certification.
