Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago ( LUC ), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer, Advanced Lecturer or Senior Lecturer beginning in the fall 2019 semester. The department has several undergraduate degree programs in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics as well as masters programs in mathematics and applied statistics. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the department s B.S. and M.S. statistics programs. Teaching responsibilities include introductory courses in statistics and advanced courses related to the candidate s areas of expertise. Candidates are not required to engage in research, but may do so as time permits. Candidates will also be expected to engage in department, college, or university service as requested.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, computer science, or a related discipline, and demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality teaching at the university level. Experience teaching advanced statistics or data science classes is highly desirable, as is experience with data science programming languages such as R, SAS or Python. Experience with student mentoring is also highly desirable.The incumbent must also be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
