Job Description Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor in the field of computer engineering beginning with the Fall 2019 semester. The individual selected for this position will be expected to contribute to the growth of the computer engineering program, collaborate with faculty on a number of interdisciplinary research projects, secure research funding and teach courses in the computer engineering area.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time employment begins. Priority will be given to candidates specializing in the core hardware areas of Computer Engineering. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrate the potential to 1) excel as a teacher in both undergraduate and graduate courses, 2) secure funding to support a research program, 3) mentor graduate students, and 4) publish research results in the appropriate scholarly outlets.
