Job Summary

Columbus State University has multiple openings for Custodian I positions in the Department of University Support Services.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in an assigned building to include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floor surfaces; waxing and buffing wood and tile flooring; maintaining cleanliness of bathroom areas, building entrances, and trash removal; cleaning interior and exterior campus windows and screens; and other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related work experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. The selected candidate must have the ability to communicate clearly with fellow workers in a team environment; exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces; ability to use certain cleaning tools and equipment; and serve as a brand ambassador of University Support Services and Columbus State University.

Proposed Salary

The salary is commensurate with education and experience.
