Summary:

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BASED IN CENTRAL AND NORTH COUNTRY. Extensive travel, including management of a geographic territory within the state of New York and surrounding areas is required. Notable areas such as Syracuse, Utica, Rome, Watertown, and Oswego are included in the territory.

Perform a wide variety of duties relating to enrollment of adult and online learners. Responsible for regional travel, territory management and follow up with inquiries and applicants to create a student-friendly admissions process. The ideal individual is an outgoing and creative recruiter who is data and goal driven, who loves helping individuals realize and reach their goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Communicate information about Keuka College's adult and online programs and other admissions related materials and processes.
  • Conduct webinars, information sessions, student interviews, and other activities necessary to supporting enrollment-for prospective students.
  • Manage communications process for inquiries and applicants.
  • Input student information and maintain student files in our CRM (Slate/Recruiter/Colleague).
  • Utilize CRM (Slate/Recruiter/Colleague) to document all activity, interactions, and statistical records of prospective students and applicants.
  • Participate in college fairs, transfer fairs, conferences, and meetings as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community colleges, academic advisors, and other influencers.
  • Assist with the development of partnerships and articulation agreements with organizations and selected community colleges. Make regularly scheduled recruitment visits to organizations and community colleges to meet with prospective students and influencers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a student recruitment and yield plan that is well-researched, pragmatic, and consistent with the College's mission.
  • Collect, analyze, and utilize student data to develop reports and determine effectiveness, as well as to forecast, track and report on enrollment progress.
  • Understand details of academic programs including curriculum, philosophy, structure, costs, financing opportunities. Tell a compelling story about the value proposition for each program. Stay current on program evolution and new program development.
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
  • Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
  • Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Experience in college admissions, sales, marketing, or other recruitment preferred.
  3. Experience working with a CRM. Experience with Ellucian's Colleague, Recruiter, and Technolution's Slate is highly desirable.
  4. Experience working with adult and online learners is preferred.
  5. Experience working as a remote employee preferred.
  6. Ability to utilize technology for effective work processes (Google Hangouts, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  7. Must have reliable internet.
  8. Ability to act independently and autonomously as an agent of and positive reflection of Keuka College.
  9. Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of college admissions, and ability to use in varied situations is required.
  10. This position requires extensive automobile travel throughout the assigned territory; therefore, a valid driver's license, and successful DMV check is required.
  11. Computer experience required. Demonstrate proficiency in the following - Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Windows operating system and Windows based programs, multiple web browser.
  12. Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to pay attention to detail required.
  13. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  14. Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
  15. Ability to be sensitive to and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
  16. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Physical Requirements:
  • Some performance of job duties will require travel to off-campus locations, campus meetings, and events.
  • Hold evening and weekend availability as necessary or required.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
