Co-op Student, Marketing

Campus Services is the largest employer of student workers on campus. As the auxiliary unit for the university, we deliver all of the day-to-day essentials on campus including: Food, Housing, Parking, Campus Recreation, UC Bookstores, Conference and Event Services, Vending, and Bearcat Card.

Working for the university has endless benefits such as gaining relevant work experience in a variety of areas and staying involved with everything happening on campus. The marketing students are responsible for marketing projects for all areas of Campus Services, and include many aspects of marketing such as targeted marketing campaigns, social and digital marketing strategy and execution, research projects and event planning.

Requirements
  • A third-year student majoring in Marketing at the Lindner College of Business or Communications major in the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences.
  • A University of Cincinnati student, actively pursuing a degree; co-op position will require a 40-hour weekly schedule.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed project management skills, with experience in managing workload with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office and online survey creation are a must. Adobe Creative Suite and web content management are a plus.

Role and responsibilities may include
  • Content Creation
    • Develop compelling marketing messaging that promotes products, services and events to a wide range of target audiences. Formats to include both digital and print mediums
    • Create online surveys, retrieve and analyze results
  • Website Development
    • Learn/leverage Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform to edit and create new web pages to enhance user experience
    • Seasonally update sites to create persuasive messaging and graphic/visual designs
    • Optimize web traffic
  • Social Media Management
    • Collaborate with students and managers to create and maintain digital calendar to drive medium usage
    • Direct/produce YouTube videos
    • Stay abreast of social trends, mediums, etc. and incorporate into strategic plan
