Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Director, Financial Aid & Scholarships, the Student Services Technician is responsible for the day-to-day compliance, implementation, and coordination of the district’s student financial aid programs. Performs a variety of specialized, technical, and analytical processes involving independent judgment which have fiscal implications for students and the District. Provides technical expertise related to Title IV and State Funding. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements: 

 

Experience:

Three (3) years full-time equivalent experience in a financial aid office of a community college, university, or government-regulated agency including experience in organizing functions.  Must have experience working with computerized information management system.

 

Education:

Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years direct experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each year (30 semester units) of college.
