Assistant Professor, Computer Science

The University of Northern Iowa's College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions' in Department of Computer Science to begin August 2019. The first position requires expertise in a systems area, such as networking, operating systems, and system security. The second position is open to applicants with expertise in any area of computer science. The department seeks candidates able to teach and conduct research in their area of expertise, as well as to participate broadly in the CS curriculum.

Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline required.

The required qualifications for the positions include expertise in a systems area, such as networking, operating systems, and system security or expertise in any area of computer science; ability to develop and teach advanced courses in their area of expertise; build and sustain a research program in their area of expertise that engages undergraduates; advise and supervise undergraduates; and participate broadly in the computer science curriculum.
