Assoc Dir, Student Conduct& Compl./Title IX

Coordinates the student conduct program; adjudicates student conduct cases; coordinates selection, training and scheduling for hearing committees; Serves as Title IX deputy officer with responsibility for supporting the implementation of the college Title IX and sexual misconduct efforts in the context of strengthening the college commitment to promoting an education environment free from sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination. The responsibilities include assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance obligations particularly under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, VAWA, the Campus SaVE Act, as well as related state legislated mandates.

  • Master's degree or higher in higher education administration, student development, psychology, sociology, law or related field required

  • Two to three years of experience working with student conduct within a college or university required.

  • Knowledge of government regulations that pertain to students including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), Title IX of the Education amendments of 1972, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVe Act), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1974,Section 504 and, theAmerican Disabilities Act and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) required

  • Experience with several of these government regulations preferred

  • Excellent technology skills required; experience with an integrated student information system preferred

  • Experience responding to student crisis situations and developing crisis response strategies required

  • Prior experience with diverse populations that includes demonstrated sensitivity to the concerns and needs of a diverse student population required as well as ability to foster a collaborative work environment using good judgement, good decision making and problem solving abilities

  • Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity

 


Additional Information:

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5pm
Compensation: Starting salary of $64,702 plus excellent heath insurance, paid leave and tuition reimbursement
Grade: 17
FLSA Status: Exempt
