Position Summary:
Medical Clerk for the Sports Medicine unit within Virginia Tech Athletics, independently inputs highly sensitive and confidential medical data into Injury Zone On-Line Electronic Medical Records software. Will also assist with filing, answering telephones, mail, and other administrative duties as required by the Assistant Director, Administration, Sports Medicine, and the Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine.

Required Qualifications:
-Experience providing office support
-Previous data entry experience
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently with very little direction
-Ability to perform medical assessments on patients
-A criminal background investigation (along with a driver's license check) is required for hired candidates and the results may impact employment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous experience working with extremely sensitive medical records
- Experience working in sports medicine within a Division I collegiate athletics program
