Analyst, Technology Resources

Provides level two technology support for students, faculty, and staff related to campus systems, applications, and hardware. Manages technology assets, resources, processes, procurement, and licensing. Assists the Office of Information Services ( OIS ) staff with campus technology and event support.

Salary Grade A10
Essential Functions
1. Serves as a level two technology support representative for OIS and stands in as the next in command over the support team in the absence of level three technicians or department leadership.
2. Analyzes inventory of computer lab, employee office, classroom, and meeting space technology and provides replacement and procurement recommendations.
3. Coordinates technology procurement by recommending hardware and software, and collecting internal billing information. This includes audiovisual technology, computer hardware and software, and telephony.
4. Facilitates software licensing renewals, including quoting, ordering, and tracking of installation and licensing materials, and communicates changes and new requirements with vendors.
5. Documents standard operating procedures for all services provided by technicians to ensure security and accuracy, and to reduce repeating incidents and incomplete service requests.
6. Documents and supports the technology account creation and closure processes for students, faculty, and staff by monitoring scheduled tasks and running daily Colleague processes. Understands how the account management process functions and relates to services and applications used by all campus constituencies.
7. Holds primary responsibility for campus communications related to technology changes, maintenance, upgrades, and new initiatives.
8. Provides leadership for the Help Desk, informing staff members of the status of technology systems and current projects.
9. Creates technology training programs, resources, and documentation for faculty and staff as needed.
10. Facilitates group and individual training sessions for faculty and staff related to systems, applications, and new or changing technologies.
11. Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
12. Supports mission, vision and values.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in information technology or business administration related field.
2. Excellent communication and documentation skills
3. Budgeting, inventory, procurement, and asset tracking experience.
4. Experience with desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
5. Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
