Duties and Responsibilities
Counseling Psychology: The School of Education, Loyola University Chicago, announces a tenure-track position at the Associate/Full Professor rank (advanced Assistant Professors with experience chairing and mentoring doctoral students will also be considered). Primary responsibilities include teaching, research and service in Counseling Psychology. The selected individual will join faculty in the program s APA -accredited doctoral program and the School s NCATE (now CAEP )-accredited master s programs, all of which are shaped around the School s conceptual framework of social action through education.

The selected individual will teach masters and doctoral courses in counseling psychology, provide advising support to graduate students, supervise doctoral dissertations, and have an active research program. Applications are preferred from scholars with expertise and teaching interests within one or more of the following areas: multicultural counseling, social justice, and school counseling. The candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student body and profession along with alignment with Loyola University Chicago s commitment to advancing social justice through transformative education.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include: earned doctorate from an APA -accredited counseling psychology program and established research program. Desirable qualifications include: interest and/ or experience in program leadership, success in securing research funds and/ or participation in funded projects, and prior teaching experience in desired areas stated above.
