ServiceNow IT Process Analyst

Position Summary:
The ServiceNow IT Process Analyst is a pivotal contributor in enabling IT Enterprise Systems to effectively integrate, create, and deliver mission critical applications for Virginia Tech. This individual will be a thought leader for IT Enterprise Systems concerning IT software processes best practices with a mindset for continuous improvement and excellent customer service. This position is responsible for creating and transitioning to operations new and improved processes and procedures for IT Enterprise Systems using the ServiceNow platform, as well as the ongoing analysis of process improvement. The ServiceNow IT Process Analyst works directly with IT Enterprise Systems teams to evaluate current and future changes to the environment and develop process solutions to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance, promote excellent customer service, and minimize process bureaucracy.
The successful individual will coordinate with the IT Information Technology Experience and Engagement ( ITEE ) team to facilitate ES usage of ServiceNow within ITEE's administration of the tool. Within IT Enterprise Systems, the ServiceNow IT Process Analyst will collaborate across the organization to identify and mitigate gaps in current processes using industry best practices, including ITIL , Agile, DevOps, Scaled Agile, PMP , etc. This position will oversee documentation for IT Enterprise Systems standard operating procedures and will advise ES leadership on best practices for providing an effective technology management environment.
The position will report to the Associate Vice President for Enterprise Systems.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow Business Management modules
-Functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow Service Management modules
-Functional knowledge of IT Service Management ( ITSM ) frameworks
-Functional knowledge of PMP project management processes
-Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with ability to foster collaborative relationships with Enterprise Systems leadership

Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
-Experience with information technology development and support processes in a higher education environment
-Experience with ServiceNow administration, development, and/or platform tools
-Experience with ServiceNow Business Management modules
-Experience with ServiceNow Service Management modules
-Certifications in PMP , ITIL Foundations, ServiceNow PPM , ServiceNow ITSM , and/or ServiceNow Developer
-Demonstrated experience as a facilitator or communications lead for collaborative IT initiatives
