Part-Time Faculty, Nursing (Graduate Program)

Job Summary

The position of part-time instructor of nursing is a non-tenure track faculty position in the School of Nursing within the College of Education and Health Professions.

Responsibilities

This position requires certification as a family nurse practitioner in Georgia. The successful candidate will teach in the FNP graduate program; mentor FNP students; maintain clinical practice as a FNP on a part-time basis; contribute to scholarly activity in the field; perform activities necessary to enhance the school, college, and university's mission; and possess an understanding of technology as a tool for effective teaching.

Required Qualifications

A Master's degree in nursing from a family nurse practitioner program (FNP), a valid nursing & APRN license in Georgia are required (if valid in another state, must obtain licensure in Georgia). National certification as a FNP, a minimum of one year of practice as a FNP as well as current practice as a FNP are required. Previous teaching experience in college or university setting is preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates who have evidence of successful teaching at the college level in both traditional and online environments.

Salary Information:
  • Didactic/Clinical: $1,000 per credit hour
