Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistr

Elmhurst College invites applications for a Tenure Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting Fall, 2019 in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry with background in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, with research interests in synthesis preferred. Main teaching responsibilities include majors level organic chemistry.

Minimum Qualifications
. Evidence of outstanding teaching or teaching potential.
. Evidence of research interests suitable for undergraduate student participation.
. Candidates should have a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
. A Ph.D. in Chemistry is required.

Preferred Qualifications
. Research interests in synthesis.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
