The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor in Social Work/Sociology to begin as early as Summer of 2019. Candidates are expected to teach core and area of specialization courses, maintain a productive research agenda, and contribute to the service mission of the campus. Priority will be given to candidates who can teach in both sociology and social work tracks. While a specialization in addictions and mental health is desirable, other areas will be considered. The candidate will be expected to instruct in both the traditional classroom and online settings. The expected teaching load is three courses per semester. A MSW degree from a CSWE approved program with at least two years of post-degree practice is required, in addition to a Ph.D. in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field. ABD considered, but Ph.D. must be earned by official start date.
